History of Radio
Our speaker tonight was Ray Chase (aided by Joe Bentrovato) from the NJ Antique
Radio Club (njarc.org). The subject was an overview
of the history of Radio, with emphasis on the first half of the 20th century.


Lions Club Meeting 4/16/03
Tonights meeting was held at the East Brunswick Chateau - it was a joint meeting with
the South Brunswick, Milltown, and Cranbury Lions Clubs. Each Club named their Lion
of the Year - the Cranbury Lion of the Year can be seen immediately above. Below is

Our speaker of the evening was Bill Baroni, an Election law attorney at Seton Hall
University. Mr. Baroni gave the Lions Club an overview of Campaign Finance Reform
Law.

The Cranbury Lions Perfect Attendance awards were given for the year 2001.

Tom Reilly was named the recipient of the Lions Clubs International Melvin
Jones Fellowship Award. This is the highest award presented by Lions Club
International to an individual Lion:

Our Speaker tonight was the Branch Manager of the Princeton Area Red Cross
- Joyce Wackenhut. She spoke to the Lions about the history and activities of
the Red Cross, with special emphasis on their role in the aftermath of September 11.

Lions Club Meeting 5/15/02

Frank Marlowe discussed the first year of WWII With enphasis on ships and
planes in the Pacific theater with events leading up to the Battle of Midway.

Becky Beauregard from the Cranbury Historical Society spoke to the Lions about current
Historic Preservation activities in Cranbury. This is the 35th anniversary of the
Historical Society
