About The Gallery and the Gourgaud Gallery Committee (GGC)

The Township and the Cranbury Arts Council (CAC) have signed a formal agreement, leasing the Gourgaud Gallery to CAC. (Gourgaud is pronounced “Gor Go”)

Effective immediately, the Arts Review Committee (ARC) has been reorganized under the banner of the Cranbury Arts Council, and has become the Gourgaud Gallery Committee (GGC). The Members are: Amy Amico, Chair; Colleen Cahill, Cheryl Corr, Dan Goldberg, Melanie Johnson, Bob Virgadamo, Lisa Walsh, Kathy Wasson, Tamara Woronczuk, and Howard Zogott.

The Gourgaud Gallery has become a center for the Arts in Cranbury, and the GGC will continue to bring new exhibits to the Gallery each month. The Gallery will continue opening each exhibit with it’s First Friday Artist’s Reception Program. The GGC will continue to enhance the programming in the Gallery with musical soirees, poetic and dramatic readings, film screenings, lectures and classes.

Any Cranbury-based non-profit group or organization may utilize the space, by appointment. For registration information contact the GGC at ggcchair@cranbury.org

GGC is looking for additional volunteers to staff the committee, whose purpose is to oversee the operation and generally run the Gallery. Differing from the past, new members of the committee do not need an art background…merely an interest in art, the ability to give some time to the operation, and a desire to see the Gallery and the Arts continue to thrive in Cranbury.

Members of the Committee serve one year terms. The GGC meets once a month, in the Gourgaud Gallery

A complete history of the Gourgaud Gallery can be found at gourgaudhist.htm

The Gourgaud Gallery Committee can be reached via e-mail at ggcchair@cranbury.org , by phone at 609-395 0900, Ext 241, or by regular mail at:
